Outlook Gets A Free CRM – Outlook Customer Manager

The hunt for a good CRM that plays nice with your existing tools, and that doesn’t create duplicate process is akin to chasing a unicorn. Microsoft aims to ease your woes with the introduction of a new feature called Outlook Customer Manager.

Introducing Outlook Customer Manager

Outlook Customer Manager gives you a complete view of your interactions with each customer, including opportunities and deals. And you don’t have to install extra tools or work outside your inbox.

This is a perfect tool for the majority of small business for whom Dynamics CRM is overkill.

I have to say, it looks very promising. Did I mention free?

How To Get Outlook Customer Manager

Outlook Customer Manager is now rolling out to Office 365 Business Premium customers, starting with those who are on the First Release program.  It will be rolled out worldwide over the next few months.  Microsoft will then work on bringing this new feature to E3 and E5 subscriptions.

When your account receives the update, you will see a new icon for it in the upper right hand corner of your Outlook 2016 home tab. Just click the icon to set it up and start using the new tool.

If you have a software version of Outlook instead of an Office 365 account, there is no word yet as to whether this feature will become available to you.  If this feature looks incredibly helpful to you, and you have been thinking of the benefits of cloud services, it may be time to consider moving to Office 365.
